ASFCU Privacy Statement
Safeguarding the privacy and confidentiality of each member’s personal information is of the utmost importance to Aurora Schools Federal Credit Union (ASFCU). Whether you interact with us over the Internet, at the Credit Union or through an electronic terminal, ASFCU trains its staff on how to adhere to strict policies regarding member privacy. ASFCU collects, retains and uses information about members only when it is useful and lawful for our standard business purposes. We attempt to obtain and record accurate and current information when your member relationship is established. We also make all reasonable attempts to keep this information current as you notify us of changes. If ASFCU uses a third party vendor or service company to prepare account documentation or otherwise service your accounts, we will make reasonable efforts to verify the third party has at least the same level of client privacy standards as ASFCU.
The Credit Union will disclose information to unaffiliated third parties about your credit history, your account and the transaction made under any one of the following conditions.
- When it is necessary for completing a transaction initiated by you.
- To verify the existence and condition of the account or loan for reputable information reporting agencies.
- In order to comply with a government agency, court order, or regulatory examination.
- When you give the Credit Union permission.
Occasionally we may share non-public personal information with other companies with whom we have contracts to provide financial products and services.
