This year Aurora Schools Federal Credit Union will award four $1000 scholarships to one graduate from each of the four major APS high schools for students heading for college in the fall of 2010. Awards are based on a combination of scholastic achievement, extra curricular activities and an essay. We will also offer one $500 scholarship to one graduate from William Smith High School, and one $500 scholarship to one student at Pickens Technical College. Membership at ASFCU is not required for scholarship eligibility.

Brayman - Beach Scholarship $5,000The Brayman-Beach College Scholarship is named in honor of two visionary leaders in the credit union movement, Susan J. Brayman and Carroll D. Beach. This scholarship is awarded to credit union members who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in business and is a unique opportunity to celebrate their commitment to our community by investing in our youth and, in turn, the future of the credit union movement. One $5,000 scholarship is awarded annually.
Qualifications for the Brayman-Beach Scholarship are:
- Must be a U.S. citizen, at least 16 years of age
- Member of a Colorado credit union affiliated with the Credit Union Association of Colorado
- Interest in pursuing a business degree
- Beginning freshman, sophomore, junior or senior at a four-year accredited institution conferring bachelor degrees located in the US
- Scholarship funds must be used by January 31 of the year following award, or the funds will be forfeited
- Submit a complete application with required documents
- Application must be post-marked, emailed or faxed by the March 31, 2010 deadline
